The islands of the Bailiwick capture the imaginations of people around the world. In topping the New York Times bestseller listThe Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows is just the latest example of this.
Until now, there has not been an anthology which shows the diversity of writing inspired by these islands. Hopefully this site will contribute to the cultural heritage of the Bailiwick, and clarify an identity for writers and artists who find inspiration here.
This site is split into three sections:
- Guernsey people writing about their own island. This section is called Home Islands.
- The Discovered Islands section is the writing of people who have been inspired by discovering the islands for themselves.
Why an anthology for the Bailiwick of Guernsey?
